the wrasse photos I got today - There’s a few others I haven’t photographed (like Macropharyngodon bipartitus, and Halichoeres leucoxanthus). Going in order of rarity (UK Based rarity at least).

Is that jeweled going in your tank?
Possibly 😉
I’m hoping with the flame back removed the two I’ve picked up will settle in better.

I guess it’s a tough decision between supplying nice fish for your customers versus keeping one for yourself.
Absolutely! I was torn with getting another female Hemi, but my gut said no so I went for the nicer wrasses.
Plus, got a Lennardi/Fem in the planning stage. Just working out if I can go down to 23°c (73.4°F) easily or not which will define which one of the two I end up with.

I so badly wanted a second fairy wrasse, but my rosyscale that ive had a year was not having it. It n3ver bothered another fish I the tank until I added a second fairy wrasse.

Ended up having to take it back to the LFS .

He's out!

The lfs had him for a month. He started spending time out of the sand this last week, so i broufhr him home yesterday.
You should try get another female - this species seems to pair more successfully than many others I have found.

There it is :D. And how is the mystery getting along with the others?
So far, she’s been getting on well! Definitely in the middle of the hierarchy but not quite at the top… for that, she’d have to intervene with the Iridis and Aquamarinus flare ups.

Are mystery wrasses known for being aggressive towards others? I want one also, but am concerned about them being mean towards my dusky margin wrasse.
They come from the Pseudocheilinus genus, which contains Pseudocheilinus hexataenia, the Sixline Wrasse, which has a rather aggressive tendency. So when mixing the Pseudocheilinus genus (outside of Pseudocheilinus tetrataenia), we recommend to be cautious.

Also, your rockscape and tank size makes a massive difference in these guys’ behaviour.

How is P. tetrataenia, disposition-wise?

Ive always found them to be better behaved than their relatives. Still hold their own, but they’re not massively aggressive IME.
But, as with all Pseudocheilinus, adding them last makes a huge difference in how long it takes for them to get aggressive.

I have a pair of male leopard wrasses ( meleagris ) that started out as a group of 5 females. Now there are just 2 males. They have been together going on maybe 7-8 years.
The progression down to these two have been kind of a mystery to me. I never found the other 3 bodies ( didn't jump).
Anyway I want to try maybe a couple more female, maybe meleagris or bipartitus wrasses.
These 2 males seem to just get along. They do follow each other around without appearing to be aggressive or chase each other. Just like maybe hunting in a mini pack. I know the tangs seem to follow them too.
I think eventually the bromance may end, but would I risk ending it early by adding females to the mix?
Suggestion on another leopard?

I got a couple picture that are the best I can get from a distance and cropping out most of the picture. They are pretty wary.
