Anyone know if this is a wrasse and if so which? Friend has it and is wanting to know.

Transitional Chiseltooth Wrasse

I have a pair of male leopard wrasses ( meleagris ) that started out as a group of 5 females. Now there are just 2 males. They have been together going on maybe 7-8 years.
The progression down to these two have been kind of a mystery to me. I never found the other 3 bodies ( didn't jump).
Anyway I want to try maybe a couple more female, maybe meleagris or bipartitus wrasses.
These 2 males seem to just get along. They do follow each other around without appearing to be aggressive or chase each other. Just like maybe hunting in a mini pack. I know the tangs seem to follow them too.
I think eventually the bromance may end, but would I risk ending it early by adding females to the mix?
Suggestion on another leopard?

I got a couple picture that are the best I can get from a distance and cropping out most of the picture. They are pretty wary.

I'm really wondering if it's a good or bad idea to add a couple females.

I had to break down the 83, so blue star, splendid pencil, exquisite fairy, rhomboid fairy, and royal flasher all had to go--gave them to my QTer friend who is rehoming them (along with thr copperband and foxface). I decided to keep the mandarin and pink streaks in my 25g peninsula. Mr. Pink Streak had some bad bite marks on its back that looked like it may have been infected, so I dropped him off at my QT friend's as well. Mrs. Pink Streak didn't survive the tank transfer--my fault, I moved the rock in the brute she was hiding under and it seems she freaked and went into the gyre while I wasn't looking.

I got word that Mr. Pink Streak is all better, so I will go pick him up after my work travel next week. Probably be my only wrasse, though.

Office. Change in office conditions, so we decided the big tank should go (unfortunately), but the desktop can stay.

I just got this guy this weekend. Chameleon Wrasse. My first Wrasse of any type. I love him so far, he swims around all day and adds some movement to the tank. Mt other fish, a one spot, a narrow lined puffer and a tomini tang are all pretty sedate and dont really swim around much unless the yhave to.

Yes, though some Leopards can be aggressive towards others.

For example my female Choati does not like Leopards and some Anampses.

I was thinking about keeping Meleagris, Negrosensis and Bipartitus.

Ideally introduce them to the system at the same time.

Same goes for my Lubbock's that also doesn't like other newly introduced Cirrhilabrus. Some individual fish are just jerks and certain species are more prone to being jerks. But I would do that trio for sure.

My general rules are add multiple Wrasses at one time and stick to females whenever possible.
