These wormy things - good/bad?

I noticed these showed up around the same time my tank started taking off with pineapple sponges. They grow more or less in the same places as well, meaning the undersides of rocks and dark sections of my sump. They are pretty tiny and so far nothing really seems to be bothered by them.

I'm guessing vermetid snails......do you see sweeper tentacles coming out of them at night? Those sweeper tentacles sting anything close by.

They look more like mini feather dusters. If they are, I've never had a real problem with them from my experience.

Here's my reference!

Again, check them out at night and it will be obvious between feather duster and vermetid.

Ack! That doesn't sound good, I will check tonight and post.
I've never had vermatid snails sting any thing. Where did you find that? Curious not flaming.
Some of my fish eat bits off the mucus thread.
Ewwww.

Those are not bad. They are old tubes of worms and sometimes other organisms will inhabit them
