Something hasn't been right with the tank. Lost the one birdsnest colony and seeing signs of stress on some other sps. Was letting the alk level settle down and just started up the doser again. Sent my MS ICP test in as well. Likely levels need bumped since it's been a month or more since last time. Also sent Shelby's DNA swab in. It will be interesting to see the results of both.

Tank update. It's not going well. Loosing the hardy sps colonies a little more every day. Stylos and birdsnests. Some of the "nicer" ones are gone. Brown jelly on one possibly 2 hhammers. Otherwise things are good.
Parameters are still slightly wonky. Still waiting on test to come back to help. I should be freaking out but for some reason I'm weirdly not. Just looking at the slow deaths and shrugging shoulders. Meh. Fish are fine and the majority 90% of the coral is fine. Bali trip took its toll on it for sure. Man did a great job but I may end up looking into some type of controller system to set up for next year.
Now the non tank stuff. Skip if you don't want to hear me rant.
No scuba trip in March 2025. The buddy I was going with had some issues in Bali. Now there are stupid people in this world I get that but when you have a known issue (pfo) are on specific restrictions from your cardiologist relating to diving ( 2 dives/day max depth 70ft, nitrox only and computer on air to be super conservative) and you disregard every single thing your an gd idiot. Then you have symptoms of the bends not once but twice, disregard those and end up with a 3hr ambulance ride to a hospital and 2 sessions in the deco chamber, you my friend are no longer safe to dive with. All of this after she has already been in deco chambers on 2 other trips. The shop owner went to Bali with us and may not clear her for any trips in the future. Scuba is not something you just do. It's considered an extreme sport because you can die doing it. And I don't want to dive or bunk with someone who thinks they are immortal. Thank goodness her actual dive buddy is a nurse practitioner and took care of her (again). So planning on just going to Guanaja in 2026 instead. Maldives is booked for 2026 as well.
Back to tank stuff.
Going to do a water change on the office tank, nano cube and fw tank and call it a day.

Ps the diving was amazing. So many little tiny critters. Went to a buddhist temple, got some Luwak coffee, white water rafting, saw the Jewel and other cool stuff in Singapore. It truely was the trip of a lifetime.
