Home and everything appears to be alive. Cyano took over again. Definately a nutrient issue sing i removed the socks while I was gone. Gonna siphon the sand and do a bunch of small water changes this week.

Not sure tbh. X4 sticks in my head. Let me google.....X2SR.
That's the better one. I might have to go that route. The lesser model is an ato and awc but, the pumps only have a head height of 6'. Unless the wife approves of holding tanks in the living room that's not really going to work for me. Did it work well for you?

Yes only issue was I bought mine second hand and it was missing some bits and had been modified. I couldn't get it to run the way I wanted so I gave up. Likey operator error. Would like to try again with a less expensive one. My sump is right next to the mixing station. So I just flip a couple switches and its pretty easy to do.

The kwc goes for 112 bucks on aliexpress right now. Does auto water change and auto top off. Best price for the x2sr is right around $500

Washed socks this am. Really need to get control of my nutrients before I leave again. Hoping vacuuming the sand bed while doing water changes will knock it back. And that will help with the cyano.

C'mon Miss Stang. You know that cleaning socks, vacuuming the sand and water changes will have a big impact. You say this like it'll be some big shackaroo if there isn't a change. I mean, just the water changes, alone, will have an impact. Do you even reef? 😂

Updated list of to do's for this week:
Vacume sand vacumed cyano off sand and rocks
Vacume sump
Wash socks
Test 180g
both tanks
Make rodi
Wc mantis tank
Clean and set up 8g again shut down fw 5g
Im sure the is more.....

That's the updated list but there's actually more.
After I got as much of the cyano off the sand and rocks as I could via vacuuming I cleaned the glass and then blew off the res of the rock. Then I changed the socks filled up the tank @ 20g and snowed it.
Test this had had nitrates at 2 phos at 2.5, low alk high calcium. Making more water to do the sump and mantis tank tomorrow. Ordered snacks for Sunny and got the winning powerball ticket.
