Has anyone kept Thistle coral successfully? I couldn't find much about it in Bornemans book other than they are aposymbiotic and feed

on phytoplankton. But he describes the care for those experimental.
Love to hear about stories of success or failure.
Here is the specimen I picked up today

Can you get a picture that a little more clear I’m curious about what it looks like.

I googled thistle coral and this is what came back

Dendronephthya or Carnation Coral is a different genus and family than Thistle coral and Borneman says they get mixed up a lot because they are so similar.
Chironephthya or Thistle Coral belongs to the family of Nidaliidae.
This one is very spikey with pollyps between the skikes.
Both are aposymbiotic so they live of zooplankton and phytoplankton.
Since I dose about 400 ml phyto a day I hope it'll thrive.
Never seen that coral before.
