Timer for Fish Only Tank Light

Can I use any nonspecific light timer for my Nicrew Hyperreef light?
It's on a fish only system and I just need to have the light turn on and off with the time of day.

Any smart plug, digital timer or even one of the mechanical timers with the little tabs you push down should work. I used one of these on a kalk doser and now have it controlling lights on an ATS and a fuge light.
