I have had this small green base toadstool for a couple of months. It has been happy, but it has recently lost color on part of it. The polyps come out, but not as often. This happened over just the last few days. Could it be due to a snail eating the surface?

This kinda looks like light bleaching. I know my toadstool bleaches out when it gets hit with a whole lot of light that I didn't work it up to.
It's not far up from the bottom, but maybe that's it. It has gotten a little worse, but not much. Hopefully it's done going down hill.

I'd check nitrate and phosphate for sure to see what your levels are at. What fish and cleanup crew do you have? Any anemones?

I can check them today, but there are no fish right now and I do a 10% - 20% water change a week (It's a 10 gal. tank, so it takes about 5 min) I have not been checking as much as I probably should. Nothing that could sting it in the tank. Snails and hermit crabs are the cleanup crew.
