so I purchased this leather toadstool about 1.5 months ago it had a small branch of second head I got it however now the branch now has a head and isn’t really growing up the question is what should I do with it? Leave it? Or try cutting it off and placing on a new plug? Any advice would help!

Either way.

It will fill out more if you leave it.

You can cut it and loosely rubber band it to something like a rock or plug. It will attach in a week or two. Then you can move it or sell it when it gets bigger.

Toads are hardy. You can cut the head off and a new one will grow.

If you try to pull it off of the rock and speck left will grow into a new toadstool.

Keep it trimmed up. When it gets bigger cut it like cutting the crust off of a pizza. Those pieces will grow into new toadstools too. Or just toss them.

It will mostly likely detach from there. At least that's what mine have done so I cut them off when they are hanging and place them in a tray of rubble to attach. I have one that has been dropping a baby every month or so lately. If I wait for the piece to detach they get blown around and lost.

This is one baby.

I'm getting ready to pluck this one off.
