I was told they will eat your fish if given the chance. I was also told if you keep them target fed, it rarely happens.
Most large LPS are piscivorus but the fish would have to be sick or really slow to be caught. Our yellow coris wrasse would lay on top or underneath the trachyphyllia and I said that fish is playing Russian roulette. Target feeding IMO wouldn't stop the coral from eating a fish.

I can't post a picture of the one I lost a few years ago, my fault I took a gamble, it was my favourite coral ever! ;)

So you know exactly what i am speaking about! That yellow one was my favourite and i will keep her photos even with her dead.
This 2 corals except the last one came from Spain. The yellow from Portugal but in USA you have so many wonderful corls with much coloration but with ridiculous prices, too high...

Is the coral already good?! I do not feed my wellso directly, i always have a little of phosphates 0,05 and nitrates 5-10 where they absorb nutrients, the lights also do the job and once per week or twice i put the aquaforest foods in water. I feed my yellow wellso directly and she was stresse entering in tissue recession. I said no more direct food on wellso. I think trachyphyllias are the same care... I will start use trace elements aminoacids and strontium!
