So how does it work with the water sample? How do you only use 15ml but make sure you're not just getting water that has been sitting in the tube and isn't from the tank?

Brandon
If it’s like the others it most likely runs in reverse and pushes the old water back out that’s in the tube and draws a new fresh sample.

Setup the Trident, super smooth install, encountered no issues whatsoever, ran the first test and I can tell you, it is just super cool to see those test results pop up.

Here is the Trident in my stand! [emoji7]

Are you allowed to tell us how this compared to your previous testing method?

Will be interesting to see also if CaRx Stability Vs 2 Part dos stability

I'm expecting as these get more common well see a step toward a carx thats will vary output hopefully.
With constant output during both lights on + lights off times there's always going to be a wave like pattern. For me that was close to 1 dkh down & 1 dkh back up everyday, same like Terances but more extreme as my tank is pretty loaded.
Maybe slightly lower carx pH during lights on time & slightly higher pH during lights off time will do it.
Me i run a saturated co2 carx & vary the flow output now to lower that daily swing being so much.

I vary the pH in the reactor instead of the flow. I get about a .2 to .3 dkh swing now. 7.8 to 8.1 or so. Same effect!

@Terence , kinda but not really off topic, can you look into adding a fourth row on the fusion website so when we get the trident we can look at everything without having to scroll down on the page.

I was getting about .5 or .6 before lol. So not big swings at all, but with the ability to dial it in further I just decided to do it!

@Terence I'm really hoping to use the Trident to control my Triton dose with DOS. There is currently no easy way (that I'm aware of) to ensure no overlapping of doses across heads and a sufficient gap between solutions without setting up the various solutions in several and separate spaced out intervals vs 1 long interval for each. I've seen Tim Tritons code to do this and it's quite complicated (too much so to feel comfortable using it). Might a built in dose spacing feature like this be coming with Trident? Thanks

Are you trying to ensure the triton chemicals have time to dissolve before the next “part” doses? If so, stagger the start time by 5 minutes per solution.

This thread has more detail on the issue. Particularly post 3. I don't believe (and it appears others as well - see reference to Triton Tim code in the thread) a simple stagger like you mentioned is sufficient to 100% ensure no overlapping doses, especially as dosing levels change over time.
