Trigger RUBY36E Sump Questions

I bought a setup that came with the ruby36E sump and my questions are regarding plumbing. My plan is to run a Herbie style overflow with the return being split into two return lines @ the bulkheads. Is there a viable way to get the best out of the sump without having to T off of the return or intake line?

Do you think a Y off the return leading into the fuge chamber chocked down with a ball valve would suffice? also, if I did that, that ball valve wouldn't affect the return pump since its got an open line correct?

I meant a Y-adapter for the main pump to your two return pipes; I wouldn't combine any overflow pipea.

gotcha, I will definitely look into those. Will having uneven lengths to the returns have a noticeable or significant impact on flowrates?

All you need to do is create some flow into the refugium area. i'd poke a few small holes, enough to create some flow from the return section into the refugium, maybe 2 or 3 inches off the deck.
I have an EShoppes R200 and it has the same feature except water enters the fuge from 2 and exits into 3.
I think it is preferred to limit the flow thru the fuge so critters, detritus, macro doesnt get blown out.
