Turtle's Deep Blue Sea

Ok, we teased the chaeto and sprayed it with a whole can of White Rain hair spray...

Wait it isn't the 90s anymore? What do you mean hair spray isn't reef safe?

Do they even still make White Rain hair spray?

I wonder if big hair will be the big trend of the 2020's....

Looks like they do.

Whatever the hair tend of the next decade, I'll have to sit on the bench. Unless it's no hair, I'm the star quarterback of that team.

Wait a minute... it's Saturday, right?

We have tank maintenance to do! At least I have the RODI made up, just gotta mix salt, change 5 gallons and test parameters in an hour and a half. Tests might get done tomorrow. ;Nailbiting;Facepalm;Dead

looks like you are on a great start.
how's the SW-2 doing?
Those Jebao looks really nice.
Welcome to The Deep Blue Sea @ifarmer. That SW2 had something wrong with it. Every time you plug the motor into a control box, the box turns off like its shorted out. Any control box. We sent it back to Amazon for a refund and I'm using two SW4s now that are almost twice as powerful. I'm actually considering adding a 3rd SW4 on the back just to increase the flow a bit more. I've got plenty of flow now, but a bit more can't hurt. I probably will run the back one at a slow pulse on low speed. The two on the sides are on random mode and as high as they will turn up.

Morning three, chaeto and ulva still look good. Skimmer has no skimmate. Feeding 1/4 cube mysis and equal amount of LRS every day since adding macro to refugium. Haven't fed Maui since the great tong discovery. Fish are very happy, Maui hasn't been acting very hungry lately.

Is that normal for him?
No. He usually has a great appetite. He ate Thursday after a lot of convincing, and hasn't acted interested when I've fed the fish so I haven't tried. It may be the metals in the water, or he could have smelled those tongs and didn't want to eat. I should have new, inert plastic tongs this week.

Now that's a precarious perch
