Aku hanging out up top...

Took a few days, but the ricordea florida is fully inflated

I added two more snails as well. One money cowrie and a cerith. The cerith went and hid before I got a picture.

I feel horrible, I'm just now seeing these comments. :(

Welcome aboard, grab a beer and pull up a chair.

I felt the same way about adding him to my 90, it would be really hard to get food to him before the other fish demolished his food. I've been feeding mostly the LRS Chunky, which is a nice mix of meaty foods. The clowns, tomini tang and melanarus wrasse would have it picked clean by the time I got to the bottom of a 24" tank that is 5' tall. The calamari tentacles are tougher and would last the trip, but I like giving a good variety in their diet.
All good I’m still sitting back and enjoying. My biggest battle are my chromis, I have 6 and they attack anything I put in that tank.

After some looking and thinking... I'm pretty sure the algae that had started growing is bryopsis. I've mentioned that some of that rock has been wet for over a year, and some of it may or may not have been in the sump of my other tank at one point. It's been without light for at least 6 months. But that doesn't mean that some spores, or even little pieces of algae couldn't have survived.

Before I added the snails... some green, and brown mixed in.

A few days after the astrea snail went in. He destroyed the diatoms, but more that the green stuff is still there and growing.

Close up of algae, fern like appearance that grows in tufts and not a mat.

I decided we needed to make it scream. Turtle dug thru the cabinet and found the fluconazole. 20ml/g is standard dose. It's a 20 gallon tank but I know it's not really 20 gallons of water in there. We still dosed 400ml, because they come in 200ml capsules and I have no way of measuring dry mililiters. So far, no adverse effects to livestock and... well it's screaming.

Bryposis turning white on day 2...

Ricordea plump and full... and Aku is straight chillin

I’ve never had to use it but I have some just in case. Glad it’s already kicking butt.
That was the last of mine. I need to order more to put back in the ref medication stash. Most of it went to the Fairy Tale when I had it in there. I'm certain it was transfered over in a rock that was in that tank but was removed before I treated it.

Bryopsis treatment day... 4, 5? Crap I think I forgot. No, I definitely forgot... huh... well, we'll call it day 4. I think it was Saturday I treated the tank with Fluconazole.

Most of it has turned white now, even the stuff that started to grow on top of Smiley. The ricordea is super full still, probably the biggest I've seen it, and I saw Ember inside Smiley but I scared her back into the hidey hole in the rock.

Oh, yea... Turtle got a package.

Out of the box, filled and ATO hooked up. It's beautiful. Every seam and line is just perfect. It was too pretty to put inside the stand, so I set it beside it. It looks great there.

Still thinking of what I want to use for AWC containers, and roughly how much I want to change a week, and how often I want to empty and refill them. The containers will be hidden inside the stand, after I build my electronics panel for the back wall of the stand.

Reef Dreams 2019 was today!

So I has having a hard time deciding what would fill the top of this tank. I knew I wanted ricordea all over the bottom. Just covering the all of the rocks and sand.... A huge garden. Well, at the show I decided what would fill the top.

Rock nems! We picked up 6 of them for a great deal. We I say we, Turtle stood aside and let the girlfriend pick all of them. I think she did good. I'll get some closer up pictures once the nems open up more.

We also picked up some ricordea we saw here and there from different vendors. Three florida and one yuma. Turtle picked those. The girlfriend is still learning how to find the right corals in the mix of frag tanks, but she pointed out a few pretty ones.

Can't wait to the nems open up, that yuma really pops!
I picked those up from zoanthids.com. There's two. ;) He called it a 'cali dream' or 'cali' something... it's written on the frag plug, I'll have to look later. You should have seen the large one in there and it wasn't even the mother. SUPER purple.

I know there are two but you said you got one yuma so I went with it because I didn't want to make this whole thing out of it and I didn't know the plural of yuma (Yumas? Yumases? Broken floridas?) but now I have to because you called me out on it and I really didn't want this to happen the same way I didn't want this to be a run on sentence but now I've done both and... Its... It's just a lot right now, OK?

Can't wait to see them grow out!;)
