Un-drilled return lines, do they exist?

But seriously, there doesn’t seem to be many options for specifically return line hooks/j-tubes. The literal return j-tube is not a thing or few and far between. It seems like everything is drilled. I’m okay with being wrong but I’m confident I’ve looked at all the return j-tube stock options one could find.

I was hoping to keep my 1” size Sch 40 size as it goes in or up to my return. The closest I can find would be 2 90* elbow bends to suffice for probably a larger than preferable bend radius.

Aqualink stocks a copper standard sizing cpvc return j-tube at 3/4” which is entirely incompatible unless I’m thankfully wrong. I think their 1/2” size is nominal/compatible sizing; would 1” to 1/2” be an okay reduction at the return outlet? I can also find dvp pvc 1” j tubes… but useless. I also see people bending pvc conduit… Could I get away with heat bending schedule 40? Or alternatively using flexible 1” pvc tubing; however, I couldn’t find ratings on it.

ANYWAYS, how else would one best avoid 2 90* elbows keeping at 1” or 3/4” diameter in the sense of a return line?

I made mine that was in my old 180g with hob overflows

I'm not really following what you are trying to do, so I don't know if this is at all helpful, but I'll spitball this photo your way.

My fault, I was mixing terms. When I used 90* elbow bend, I meant something like this elbow sweep; I could have sworn I saw elbow bend somewhere for that same picture. And 90* elbow was as pictured above that. My bad. I was just trying to find other ways to DIY the return w/o sharp 90* because there doesn’t seem to be too many products already like that.

I use a PVC sweeping 90 and then use 3D printed outlets to fit my needs, something similar could work here...
