Hey everybody. First want to say thank you for reading this. I'm pretty sure I have a infestation of red bugs in my tank. I can see them all over my rock but not my corals. If I can get my hands on some interceptor. Is this the safest way to treat the whole tank. I read melev's reef on red bugs. It seems easy and straightforward enough. Just wanting to make sure of what to be careful of. Thanks again.

Red bugs are easy to battle, yes on the interceptor.
They don't eat corals but the bother them and corals will get stressed as follows that a coral will release slime which the feast on.
They kinda like fleas on a dog, it won't kill the dog either.
Can you show a link from Dr Foster&Smith?
I can almost say it would be possible only thing is the new interceptor is a chewable and hard to crush, but yes still possible to battle the red bugs.
Do you dip your corals before you introduce them into your tank?

^ This is my concern as well. Red bugs have a bright red or orange head, very easy to identify. RB would not be hanging out on the rock work they would be in and on the Acropora.
Here is the tank. Then I don't know what they might be. They are little orange/ red things maybe 1/8 in long and half that wide. They are mainly on the right side of the tank and that is where I have the most trouble with corals not doing good. I do dip my corals now but in the beginning I did not. I'm not sure how to link a file from doc foster to here I'm sorry.
Do it my friend and it will be a blast, your tank will love you for it :rolleyes:

If they are planarias get a Melanurus wrasse or a Leopard wrasse, they will feast on them.
You can battle it with Flatworm-stop but you need to Google as it comes with a risk.

Sounds like a planaria species :)
They love to congregate and slither around.
The ones I raise love to bask in the light at the surface of the water.
