as a VT alumn...i am pretty disgusted at what has transpired.

although, i think i'm more disgusted by the fact that 2 years ago, we all told ourselves that marcus was the loser in the family, and that mikes money had corrupted him and that mike was the level headed one who was smart, but its obvious that mike was also corrupted and spread that throughout his family. its so ashame that such talent has gone to complete waste.

i will say i hope michael vick gets what is coming to him, whether it be jail time or a felony conviction (which means his NFL career is over i think due to the players union rules....correct me if i'm wrong).

i'm truely dissapointed in the entire family now, the money went completely to their heads, and i really dont understand the appeal of this "gangsta" lifestyle.

i do want to say that his actions in no way are affiliated with Virginia Tech, Michael hasn't lived in Blacksburg or been associated with VT in 7 years, and none of this dog fighting took place while he was at VT. and this "thug" profile people have given VT is completely unfair.

i have personally worked with the football team for 2 years as a trainer, and while there were a couple thugs that over shadowed the team, most of the guys on the team were very down to earth and very polite.

every team has these thuggish type of players on their teams, teams like UVA, Miami, Florida State have WAAAAAY more players that get in legal troubles far worse than what happens to VT players. so it bugs me that people say we are a team/school of thugs when they have never even been to the university, or seen the players off the field.

anyways, just wanted to get that off my chest.....i was an undergrad during the national championship run, and it was a magical 2 years when michael was there. now i'm just completely disgusted that we all idolized him for this many years...and now the true side of him is revealed. i and many other hokies are feeling betrayed..... :(

I hope he get terminated.... bottom line. Vick has always been one of my favorite players. I followed him althrough out his college career and knew he would be one of the most promising QB's of all time. I have to admit I was a huge fan. But after hearing about this I am simply DISGUSTED with this man, I could not care less about him. I know that he will not be fired but I certainly hope he loses all endorsments and has to serve some jail or prison time for this! Nike has already postponed the release of his new shoe, and I can only hope that they dont even end up releasing it. He deserves no more money or royalites... it is a true shame that a person of his stature is such a complete and utter ****** bag... I hope this situation does a good job to open everyones eyes to this AWFUL "sport" happening all over the US and the World.

Being a pitbull lover/owner, I sincerely hope that he does not get off. Unfortunately, pit fighting is not just a thuggish sport. I will never, never understand what people get out of watching two dogs tear themselves to pieces. It is utterly and thoroughly disgusting.

I don't care how many times he says he had no idea, the kennel is in his name, the breeding liscense is in his name, he owns the property, it's his family. I would also hate to think that the undercover agents in this mess are lying. It was more than one. I hate to automatically think he is guilty but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck!

They say that this court that he will be in trial under gets a 95% conviction rate......So good bye scumbag. I personally have always thought that he was a bit overrated in the pros and Atlanta would have or will never go to a Super Bowl with him at quarterback......I agree with you as well surf.

The trial hasn't happened yet, so are we being overzealous? Personally, I don't think so. I've respected Vick for a while as a player. If they have enough to indict someone on these types of charges (after having pulled carcasses from his property), I feel like they've got him wrapped unless he finds a way to squirm out of it (not going to be at all surprised if he does-money runs the country as he well knows). Fighting animals for pleasure is sick. Killing them when they don't win is nothing short of disgusting (and speaks volumes of their 'manhood'). If the proof is there (and I don't doubt it is), he should be in prison for a nice long while. Problem is thuglife only nows thuglife...
