Violet LEDs

Anyone seeing positive growth and coloration with the new violet leds? I've heard that par is lousy, but maybe the 420nm spectrum makes up for that shortcoming.

I think it more for poping colors then for growth

Yeah, last I heard those aren't available any more. The distributor/maker raised the price and minimum buy amount. No idea who the actual maker is. There are several 415nm LEDs out there though that might be better suited.

I use to have the 415nm in my first fixture's i brought in but the cost on them was alot more and in all honesty I didn't see them doing much of anything. That was a year and a half ago so they have been out for a long time. I think they were phillips brand if i'm not mistaken. There were violet and violet uv's i tried.

He speaks the truth, nanotuners does not carry them any longer unless it has changed recently..

You can get the TV 420nm LED's through ledgroupby
