My nub has done nothing but encrust for the past few months. The color is getting really nice though. I have this at the top of rockwork getting 450 par from an Orphek Atlantik v4. As you can see, taking photos under 20k looks closer to their pics. Even under 10k it is a beautiful piece.
Sweet piece for sure! I’m looking to upgrade my lights and strongly considering the Atlantik v4. Are you happy with them?

Yes I am. The tank was set up in September of last year and I have slowly ramped them to where they are at now (running all channels at 100% for 6 hours a day) with a ramp on either side. Now we will see how much growth I get with them. I have nothing to compare them with other than 250 watt de hqi halides that I ran in the early 2000s. I get good coverage with 2 on a 2x6 foot tank-the main reason I went with them. They are huge.

As my colony grows larger it's starting to develop more green in the center. Not sure if it's a shading thing or just how it colors as the colony grows larger. I know Vivids mother colony was green towards the center and orange/red at the tips. I'm hoping to replicate that look one day with mine.

Confetti update. Just a whole lot of encrusting and staying flatter. Not a ton of vertical growth yet but it looks primed, well, at least none that the naso didn't bowl over. Stupid fish.

Oh man, that local water is something else! Both our sediment blocks were mostly brown in just 4-5 months.

Here's a top-down that probably shows its colors much better than the front shot.

Anybody else getting a hint of aqua on the base on their confettis? I'm not getting the green polyps just yet but I think it needs to be more colony sized like Gigems before that shows.

So here’s mine after I fragged it three times. Fragged it once to have a piece in both my display and frag tank then fragged again to get a piece in my buddies tank. We coral bank with each other. It’s a just Incase something happens to ours we can get a new Frag for free. So this should be growing out now so I can contribute

very nice

in person, does it look like it does in their pictures?

I was just there again last week on a visit. The one in their DT has lost some of its multi colors (at least viewing from the side and not above, so it's hard to say), but still an amazing gradient of colors from the center to the tips. Their fragging colony in the back that's getting blasted with light is more of a lighter red like mine. So I think if you want the deep green transitioning to reds, you should keep it at lower light. I'm incredibly happy with the growth where it is, so I won't be moving it lower for a while [emoji16]
