have a 180 (6x2x2) and currently have 2 vortechs one on each side.

should they both be in the middle or one closer to the front and the other closer to the back?

i have it on reef crest mode with the other in anti sync mode.
should i have it on sync mode? what other are doing would be great

thanks

totally depends on what corals you're keeping, proximity to the pumps, and your aquascaping.

i have an 80" long tank with one on each end both up front, also on reef crest anti-sync mode. i also use a tunze wavebox. the combo works well for me with very open aquascaping.

mixed reef, the majority of the sps will be in the middle of the tank.

pic of the aquascaping?

it will likely be fine as-is, but you will just have to see how it goes and read the corals.

I keep mine closer to the surface so that in case of a power outage, I get sufficient surface agitation with the battery backup. I have LOTS of fish to worry about :)
