My fishtanks has recently taken the back burner in our house hold due to have a new baby. I haven't been able to do the water changes as much as I would like to, but am trying to get back into it.

I need some help/advice on how to fix fuzzy algae on rocks. It seems all my soft corals are beginning to close. Tank has been up and running for 18 months.

I did measure my water today and below are the parameters:

Tank: Red Sea 350 GS with protein skimmer, reefmat, and BIO blocks.
Fish: 2 Clown fish, cardinal, 6 line wrass
Corals: softies, and sps frags.

I dose: Red Sea NO3 O4-X Algae Management Nitrate & Phosphate Control (3.4 ml everyday) and Red Sea Reef Energy AB Plus (13 ml everyday)

Parameters were
Temp: 79
Salinity: 36ppt
Ph: 8.0
Alk: 8.5
Calcium: 480
Mag: 1220
Phosphate: .08ppm
Ammonia .12ppm
Nitrite 15ppb

Outside of a few water changes to even numbers what else should I be doing? Dosing other chemicals?

TIA for advice.

Maybe reduce the amino acids for now, they could be contributing to the algae. Do you have Red Sea Magnesium? That is super low…

for the algae, suggest some turbo snails and/or urchins. maybe even a tang. however, some tangs get big and may limit future fish additions so do a bit of research if you go this route.
