Awesome tank! I'm thinking about doing something similar for my next tank. What do you think are the most important things for keeping the BTA happy - light, flow, feeding?
I just keep this tank simple. 3 fish and I feed a small bit of mysis each night. From time to time I feed the nems but usually not. Then I do a 5 gallon water change each week with brightwell neo marine. Lighting is AB+.

Looking great! How did you pull this off with such a short cycle? I mean I can understand basic nitrogen cycle requirements being met with the "old" bio cubes and the Microbacter, but to see anemones doing so well in such a young tank seems to be an anomaly!
The previously cycled media and microbactor were the biggest part. I left the lights off for the first 2 weeks then added the fish. From all my research and talking to LFS and other reefers cycled media/live rock will cycle a tank super fast as apposed to dry rock and media.

How long from tank start to addition of the 'nems?

Christmas update. The pink tip bta split last weekend which is super exciting. Also picked up 2 new rock flowers and I counted 32 baby rock flowers. Also bought a yellow corris wrasse for my other tank but the Clowns in it weren't happy with the new tank mate. So I caught it and added it to this one and it's been doing great. Here's a short video just after lights on.

Long overdue update.

Battled cyano for a while but got that under control. All but 2 of thr baby rock flowers have disappeared no idea where to. The pink bubble tip anemones have split again. Most importantly the clowns have started to be hosted In the nems!! Other than that things are plugging along. Here's some pictures taken over the last couple days.

I saw that you said you were running AB+ for your light schedule. What intensity? Any idea what sort of PAR you're at?

I'm doing a similar tank build now and I'm wondering what PAR to shoot for. You're stuff all looks plenty happy, so I figured I'd ask. :D

I tested par a few months ago. If I remember right it was something in the range of 120 or so top of rocks 80 ish on sand. Honestly I didn't try to get certain numbers I was using the meter in my other tank and just checked this one.

Here's the schedule I have ran from day 1. 1 hour ramp up and down haven't messed with it at all.

Everything is still running along doing great. Bubble tips are happy one of the pink tips is moving around again. It has done this before and then a week or so later split so . Picked up a maxi mini carpet from a lfs today. When I went to pick some of the rocks off it's foot I found it had a baby with it!!! Free nems are the best so hopefully it lives and they eventually spawn.

Currently no. I recently purchased a sicce nano power head but it was way to much flow. Might get a nero 3 at some point but everything is happy.

I have only ever had success with red colored bubble tips and rock flowers. For some reason any green bta I get lives a week or two then shriveled up and dies
