Found a stand solution. I was looking into all I would need to build my own stand until Friday we found that the JBJ 24 stand is the perfect size and not much more than I would have spent in wood and equipment to build one. So its on order and should be here in a couple days. Looks like hopefully next weekend I can set everything up.

In other news there was a new LFS that opened today 2 miles from my house, best part the owner has a bunch of rainbow BTAs that he grows out at his house for cheap. He also has red maxi minis coming in soon. Looks like I have my anemone supply figured out.

Stand arrived today. Outdated/wrong instructions but I was able to figure it out. This was just what I was looking for. Top of the stand has rounded edges because it's a jbj stand but most of the corners are supported don't think it should be an issue with only 20 gallons of water. Wasnt sure how it would fit in the living room with the doorway bit it doesn't stick out any more than the fireplace or the blanket rack we used to have there.

Will move the rocks and sand tonight and tomorrow then get it wet this weekend.

Rock and sand in. Will mix up the saltwater this weekend and start cycling. Will be keeping lights off for the cycle for a couple weeks. I have a couple marine pure balls in my other tank I will be putting in the back In addition to using microbactor7. After 2 weeks or so ill test and if cycle is complete I'll add 2 clowns and keep the lights off to help keep the uglies as bay.

Yes! That sounds exactly like what I’m going for with mine! Just as a precaution, I have black widows with an RBTA in another tank, the black widow is very evil and will not touch any other anemone, it burns the others and makes them move away but then moves itself. Very confusing anemone, may just be my strain but all the splits from it also do this. They’re happy enough to live with splits from the same mother though. All my babies from that mother live all stacked on top of each other, I don’t understand. Again, this may just be my mother, I’m not sure.

I've noticed this in mine too. Mine are HUUUUUUUUUGE. I have I think 7 or 8 and they frigging fight all day. They move just a little every day. Sway a little differently each day I have a few videos if you'd like to see what my a hole monsters do.

Thanks for the info. Wasn't planning on black widows. One of my LFS has a bunch of rainbows that he grows out. So I was planning 1-2 of those and probably a green bta. Probably start with 3-5 bta and let them just grow. Everything else will be rock flowers and maxi minis.

Update:
Tank is full and the cycle has began. Microbactor7 and I also pulled some ceramic media that has been in my other tank for several months. Now we wait a week or so. Goal is to wait 2 weeks before fish.
Also received my DIY mesh lid kit from BRS. However I forgot the clips to hold said lid. So now I'm waiting on those.

So this weekend I got 2 clowns and an orange spot goby with a pistol shrimp. Also my lfs had some awesome nems. So I picked up a rainbow bta and a pink tip bta. Planning some big maintenance on my main tank next weekend where I'm gonna try and get a couple rock flowers moved over as well.

Some Sunday night shots. Got the green bta and rock flowers out of my other tank yesterday. Don't mind the non nems in the tank. Redoing my other tank and had to move some over for the week. The green bta has been loosing color for a while now but under 24 hrs in this one and tips are peach again.

Did my first water change today. 3ish gallons and started using brightwell neomarine salt. We will see how things react to it. So far it mixes quick and clear.

Everything seems to be doing well. Have been feeding small cubes of shrimp to each of the BTAs once a week for the last 3 weeks and they all seem happy. Even though I don't see the pistol shrimp very often. I do hear it several times a day. One of my lfs had this speckled gree. Bta Saturday and for $45 I couldn't pass it up.

Really enjoyed following the updates!
Thanks. Nothing really new this weekend for this tank other than diatoms have came in a bit. Also I moved the green goni from my other tank into this one about 2 weeks ago. Have been dosing brightwell phyto once a day and the goni is loving it finally opening up for the first time since I bought it. Debating leaving it in this tank if it stays happy.

Well this weekend the stock pump started making a loud grinding/rubbing noise that I couldn't get to stop. Cleaned repositioned the pump in the chamber no luck. So I bought a sicce 1.0 and am very happy with that one it is even quieter than before the stock one started making noise.
Second part of the update comes with a question. I have a bit of cyano starting to show up I have used chemi clean in the past but never with nems. Do you think there would be an issue with them if I got some to use this week?

Also I will try to get more pictures up tonight after work.

Been a couple weeks since I posted about this tank. No big changes all the nems are looking great. My rock flowers even spawned a couple weeks ago and are starting to grow. Also added my dream fish, ruby red draggonet. Don't have a picture of it yet, but will get one.

Awesome tank! I'm thinking about doing something similar for my next tank. What do you think are the most important things for keeping the BTA happy - light, flow, feeding?

Looking great! How did you pull this off with such a short cycle? I mean I can understand basic nitrogen cycle requirements being met with the "old" bio cubes and the Microbacter, but to see anemones doing so well in such a young tank seems to be an anomaly!
