Should I just let it run its course? I will be able to consult about CUC soon but what I’ve come up with in the last 2 months or so is this, will it suffice:Likely Diatoms, which typically show up 1st.
Diatoms are inevitable in the vast majority of new tanks, they will resolve without intervention.Should I just let it run its course? I will be able to consult about CUC soon but what I’ve come up with in the last 2 months or so is this, will it suffice:
3 Cerith Snails
3 Nassarius Snails
3 Trochus Snails
2 Scarlet Reef Hermits
2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
(My tank is 29 gallons and will have a royal gramma and a watchman-pistol shrimp pair in the future)

I will definitely try some snails and hermits! I’m eager to get more in my tank.Diatoms are inevitable in the vast majority of new tanks, they will resolve without intervention.
I would test out a couple snails and hermits prior to adding the cleaner shrimp.
Why are you treating the tank?
Congratulations on your new tank.![]()
If Copepods are visible (which I believe they are) then I have almost none because I can’t find any. Would a source be wet live rock? Or do you think I could buy some kind of bottle of them from somewhere? Also if I did get live rock and I put it in the tank with my clowns, it won’t affect them, right? One of the main eaters of diatoms is copepods, have you added a source of them into your tank?
