I got my black widow BTA about 6 weeks ago, and it picked a spot and has stayed there. But a couple weeks ago my female clown finally tried to get it to host her (she won’t let my male near when she tries) and it didn’t seem to respond. Since then she’s tried multiple other times and after a bit it proceeded to close up and hide in the hole it’s placed itself in. It would then come back out the following day. Now, it’s been closed up in that hole for the entire week, or rather closed up and facing the opposite direction with its tentacles underneath the rock, facing away from the light. Is it possible for nems to reject clownfish? Any knowledge as to what could be wrong or tips on how to have it host my clowns would be much appreciated. Ammonia and nitrates are both at 0ppm.
Thank you!

'nems are pretty hardy. keep water parameters stable and try not to let the clown keep stressing it. it will eventually move and come out more as you already saw. it's definitely tricky since you can't really tell if it has been "injured" from that spot. but don't worry too much.

Hey, any update on your anemone? Have you ever fed it?
I have fed it before and managed to feed it half a clam a couple days ago, but it’s still closed up. I was only able to feed it half a clam instead of a whole one because it’s tentacles were hanging a little bit out of the hole in the rock and i managed to get it on there somehow. Still not doing well at all tho

Nitrates need to bump just a bit. As stated 0 is not a good number. Also check the other parameters. And what tools are you using to check parameters?

Maybe it just has a bad attitude/nasty disposition?
