It's Monday and I'm late with the QOTD so let's throw you and me a softball out here today! Well it should be easy to answer but if you think about it, it might be a little harder than you think! Of course the answers are going to vary based on your own personal interest but it should give us a good idea of the best corals available today! So let's GO!

What is the BEST coral in the hobby right now and why do you think so? Fancy names are welcome! :p

PLEASE POST A PHOTO IF YOU GOT ONE!

Goblins Fire Zoas. I know they're not the most expensive or colorful coral, but man I love the color of the green in the center contrasted by the orange outside.

t keep the $100/1" corals alive anyway, so I like to see something that's cheap and grows well [not necessarily fast, but noticeable].

Good approach! As ridiculous as coral prices are now for some things it is nice that a lot of the older "must have" more expensive coral can easily be found for $10-$20 and looks just as good as it did when it was "rare" and people charging exponentially more.

If your looking for named pieces, the hottest pieces at the moment seem to be bkchem jumanji and bkchem fruit loops, with Rrc rainbow splice up there as well. Hobbit bounce mushrooms are always up there, as well as the mythical corals bounce eclectus. But, as for the BEST coral, that goes to whatever will do best in an individuals tank that they enjoy. Although I have most of the above pieces, my best corals will always be gsp and neon green octospawn. They are also among the most visually appealing, not to mention very affordable and easy to grow. Some of the best looking corals are very cheap.
