So i have a porcupine puffer and have had him almost a year now, but today when i came home one of his eyes lost the blue fluorescent color to it, does anyone know what it could be and why does this happen?

I never got concrete information on it but i had this happen to one of my clownfish a long time ago and it lived passed its life expectancy still. From the information and observation i gathered at the time its a response to a large amount of trama or stress at some point in their life typically from bacteria or disease or getting spooked and ramming into something. Symptoms typically showing up sometime after the trama and the eye may remain that way for the rest of its life or may go away depending on the cause and level of damage. Sudden diffrent colored eyes and or diffrent sized pupils in my experience often points to severe physical trauma, a dangerous internal infection, or an advanced nutritional disease like gas bubble disease or toxic water conditions. In my experience if the water quailty is good and there hasnt been any disease issues with anything else in the system, Then it likely points twards the fish getting spooked and ramming into something. Think like a concussion to a human. Late reply but theres my 2 cents and experience

My reply above may help you narrow it down
