Tank is almost a year old and i would like to get a bta for my 2 clowns. What are some things I should know before pulling the trigger? How difficult is it to get them to stay in a spot you want? Should I manually feed it or should I just give my clowns a chunk of shrimp or something? How difficult is it to remove them when they begin to split and spread?
Thank you!

So they are fairly difficult to remove whenever they split, but I would honestly get it either way. There are some methods to remove them, but I have not tried any so I am unsure of them. As for it moving, you cannot really control that, but usually they will try to go to where there is the most light, if you are running a darker display. Also, the clowns might not go into it at all, but they could. Also, you don't really need to feed it, as it will photosynthesize in the right circumstances. I would get it. What kind are you looking at?

One can become many and they will move to a spot they like whether it's where you want it or not. You can feed but I didn't. They catch food out if the water and the clowns will feed it also if they decide to go to it which isn't guaranteed. They need a decent amount of light also.

BTA will move as they please, even when they have been in one spot for a long time, they may choose to move one day. I love having them though. Clowns are not guaranteed to host with it, i have 3 pair of clowns in 3 tanks. Only one pairs hosts the anemone. You can feed, but do so minimally, they will get fed when you feed the rest of the tank or a clown may feed it if the clown hosts. Removing them is not hard, but you do have to be careful nit to damage foot.
