How long am I looking at before it becomes long and flowy like the orginal? I know this will depend on parameters and nutrients etc, but if everything were perfect, am I looking at months? Years?

Thank you for any assistance with how patient I need to be.

Could be months before they get to that point. Those look new so may take time to grow bigger. Just know they don't always look exact as tank conditions can affect each coral. Hence why some people find their corals change over time from what the vendor provided.

I've had them for nearly a month now, so yeah, pretty new.

I was wondering if I had them in more flow if that would help. But I will leave them be as they seem happy, and just be patient.

Thank you.

Flow can help, just don't blast them. Mine were under the wavemaker so they gravitated towards it and did get more wavey.

I don't really have a good picture of them but they were my first coral a year ago. Bought a very small frag with 2 on it. By 7 months in, They pretty much took over the whole side of the rock and backside. You can see its mirror reflection though lol.

Nice color on those cloves! They are in a happy spot for sure, nice and fluffy! Good job!

Give em some time. The polyps will get fuller and fluffier.
Definitely was not a fresh frag from that colony.
Keep it happy and it will fill in, color up and flourish.

I bought a frag not unlike yours from an online vendor because it looked different than my firework cloves.
After a month or so, it became very apparent that It was indeed the same lol.

It took mine about 8 months or so. They started very slow.

Eventually I moved them to a higher flow area, with strong lighting (you can see they are happy beside my monti digitata) and they started to really spread and become flowy.
