Hello, I’m looking to get better lighting in my aquarium because I plan on have a mixed reef soon. My display tank is a 60 gallon breeder, it’s dimensions are 48x18x16".

The two options I’m looking at from researching online are either 2x Noopsyche K7 pro or 2x Hydra 32. I also see some people with a 75 gallon adding a t5 light fixture. What should I get?

There are many options..

Reefi Uno's.. Helix Bars... orphek!

If you don't mind bulb changes and can find a used t5, I find that to be the easiest path to success for a mixed tank that will make everything happy without having to play with settings and no shadows.

This was my 48x24x16 tank (similar to yours) with a 6 bulb t5 and one orphek led for pop.

It was a mixed reef with everything from softies to LPS to Acropora and you just put coral in and... it was happy :) No need to overthink placement or measure par or play with settings.

Just nice diffuse even spread from t5's where you can't screw anything up.

Reefi Lab Uno 2.1, more wattage than other leading brands, Orphek, Radion, Kessil etc. Longer warranty 3 year, cost about HALF as much, more light channels for better spectrum blending. I have 4 of them over my 8ft long 300g and they will grow anything. In 27 inches of water I am using 106 watts of the 270 watts available getting 80par on my sand bed.

Couple of pics of my tank;
