Just wanted some input...I have a 75 gallon tank with these dimensions 36x24x20. Which vortech pumps should I run (2)mp10's or (2)mp40's or (1)mp10 and (1)mp40 together? Please consider the cost differences along with effectiveness of water movement with those dimensions.

I agree a MP40 ran at like 80 % would work well!I agree, maybe you would need to add some SEIO's,Koralia's,etc. those are all pretty cheap to add later on!

I used to have a single MP40 on my 75 gallon and it worked great. Kept my SPS closer to the powerhead side and my LPS on the other. Like Clowns said, just get a cheap Koralia if you find you have a deadspot on the far side.

With being only 36 inches long, two MP10s work work. I have a shallow tank that is 48 inches tall, and one MP10 made waves in it. One of each side should work out good I would think. I'm running two MP20s on my tank, and it works great.

However, you could do the MP40s if you have the cash and simply turn them down as stated above.

either or would work fine. I like having one on each end of the tank.
