I have a 60 gallon cube that is 24x24x24" with a large center column. Which setup should I go with?

Option 1 - Two MP10's

Option 2 - One MP10 and One MP40

Option 3 - One MP40

Option 3

With only 24" max width, the one MP40 should be more than enough.

Option 1 if you have sand, if you go with an mp40 your sand is going to blow around.
Even without sand I would say 2 MP10s that way you get more directions of water flow.

Option 3

Why would you say one MP40?

I would say two MP10w would be best. A mp40 will be very hard to fine tune to not get the sand storms. But my biggest reason would be Vortechs are ment to be used in pairs, Two Mp10's facing each other are amazing. Picture how they work if they are on opposite ends the right one pushing 1500GPH left one 250 a few inches away from the left one it will be crazy then where its crazy moves back and forth left to right in the tank because one will get more power one less. Then once one reaches full power it starts reducing and the other picks upp.

Let me know if the above statmente makes reason with you or if you can picture it.

I run 2 mp20's in my 60 cube and flow is very nice.

Do you guys know if a Solana Rimless Cube can a handle the stress from waves made by the Vortech powerheads? I was readin the warning in the Vortech manual and it says to check that your tank can handle the water movement.

The MP10s with the Wireless is an awesome set-up. I had that on my 24x24x24 cube.....The things you can do are amazing......In fact I had a MP20 that at full speed was way to much for flowing corals and ricordea. The MP10 at full speed were still a bit much but with the control of the ES controlers and wireless my euphyllia would open huge.

I vote for option 2, i know it sounds dumb but you can turn down the 40 and you have extra power just incase you ever need it, and you can use it on a bigger tank!
