Hey guys!

I woke up this morning to a white sponge growing under our torch coral and I was wondering if it was harmful and should be removed :)

You can take the torch out and scrap the sponge off if you want. It will peel right off easily.

If the sponge is encrusting and you like your Tourch, I would scrape sponge off.

I scape my mature system with ornamental sponges: Red Tree Sponge, Yellow Ball Sponge, Orange Elephant Ear Sponge and talk Orange Tree Sponge.

I see this is your first post. Welcome to r2r.

Your photography is excellent. Post a full tank shot and consider starting a tank journal in members tank forum.

Sea Apple or fancy cucumber.

Then behind the Apple is a yellow ball sponge that needs a cleaning and behind yellow ball sponge is orange elephant ear sponge.

ah! yes. I had a very small yellow cucumber in my tank for a number of months. I suspect it starved. I tried moving it to locations that had better flow (more food) but it always moved. I had some deaths when it dissapeared... very appealing but not again.
