The blue spiny lobsters found in the pacific are essentially the same as spiny lobster found here on the east coast of the US, just not quite as large.
No claw meat, but good tail meat if large enough.
Heck we catch slipper lobsters here and they are delicious!!! Plus no regulations in North Carolina!!!

There's more meat on the American lobster....there's no claw meat on the spineys...
American lobster? Is that another name for Maine lobster?

Yes the same. Living in New England all my life, we always called them Maine lobsters. First time hearing American lobsters. LOL
