A Humu Humu will eat inverts that is why they are known to be for fish only tanks although I have witnessed some triggers in reefs with no inverts.

They will not eat corals. Clams, shrimps, urchins and crabs are on the menu.

While they won't eat the corals they will steal food from them and injure them when doing so. Will pretty much test apart any LPS

not wise

As far as I know, A Blue Throated Trigger is the Safest trigger to put in a reef. Other wise I would have a Clown Trigger in mine. Like Russion rulette???? End results are the same.

Will a picasso triggerfish eat corals? or just go after live rock with algae?
They will not munch on your corals, nor your Live Rock or Algae.
Your CUC on the other hand is fair game to them.

I've had a clown triggerfish in my reef tank for 5 years. He doesn't touch corals but he kills crabs and shrimp when he can catch them. Oddly enough...the crabs and shrimp are smart enough to make it so hard to catch them that sometimes it takes over a year to have to add new crabs and shrimp
