Hi I'm new to R2R just getting back in the hobby. I'm looking for great saltwater shops in the Houston area can anyone recommend some to me and advise against those with a bad rep.

Yea T&T is not what it use to be but isn't all bad, Fish Gallery is nice but has a big box store feel. FJW is by far the best store I have been to.

I guess it is a fairly new (maybe 2 years) store started and run by a former collector. He truly has some awesome stuff similar to what you can find on high end web sites.

Rob, he's about 5 min away from the Hotel you stayed in last year.
Has the nicest corals and always fresh every week.
The store is in a old strip center, it's my to go to store.
Urban Aquatics had a awesome store too but due to the lease of the building was terminated he had to find another place.
Will be in the corridor of BW8 and 290.
In these stores you'll find wild colonies that can morph into nice rare collectors SPS.

What's up with aquarium world btw? That place must launder money for the size of it considering nobody ever goes in there it seems.
Plus it has the worst selection of everything!

Dennis (FJW) got he best Goni's
I have one for four years right now and fragged it probably about 20 times, and yet that thing is still about 8" across.
He just had some wild Aussie SPS and also some nice wild colonies from Thailand.
These colonies were not for sale yet as they go through a quarantine process, but price ranging from $50 up to $120 are a no brainer.
