TANG UPDATE (LOOKING GOOD) after Prazi-Booster then Transfer to Clean QT with Melafix

The Tang still had the Spec on his Dorsal, so I did 2nd Prazi Dose for 5.0ppm (only 6 hours)

The spec on really close inspection looked more and more like a cut healing. I think it wasn't the a net cut, but probably from one of the Ornametal Caves (where he barely fit into opening)

Decided a clean QT is best option (to heal a cut). Last QT is filthy after 3 days and two fish.
2019-07-30_YellowTangDirtyTOCleanQTMelafix.jpg

And adding Melafix is great for wound healing.

This is only a few hours later in New QT/Melafix.

2019-07-30_TangInNewCleanQTwithHealingCutNoriFood.jpg

The nick is still there, but white scab is gone. (Doubt it was ich or fluke).

Feeding him lightly (only what he will consume to keep QT clean), and added NOri Feeder for balance nutrition.
Looking good, Wally!

TANG QT (Over) Transferred to Kitchen DT

Tang looks perfect with Extra Day in Melafix (QT).
No point leaving him there.

Tang absolutely HATES ME at this point, after all the nettings.
This time I used a smooth Jar to Catch him and transfer.

Hope he does fine.
Waiting for his Copperband Buddy to welcome him to his new Home.

No Angel Bully so things Should go well.

A 90 Gallon Reef (is Better than a 10 Gallon QT with Plastic Ornaments)

Didn't take long for Tang to come out.
He appears quite Happy, and All Tank Mates Like him
(don't hate him).
2019-08-01_YellowTangEndofQT3.jpg

If anything the Helfrichi Firefish is a bit scared of him.

QT Mates also had their Reunion Moment.

I never did double Fish TTM before. It was a good experience, and may do it again.

Another CHAPTER CLOSED, in the Never Ending Saga.

Great names :) @tenurepro
(on 2nd thought) ….Not sure if any Fish would want the name "FILLET" :( and "Sunny Side up" sounds like PAN FRIED :( :(

I'll let the Family (kids/wife) name them since kitchen tank is theirs.

What's AMAZING (right off the bat) with the Angel removal and the two replacements is EACH Fish acts like there is no other....They swim right by each other (no conflicts).

They are "ALL" more actively out.
The clowns are wandering more (away from their Host Home).
Even the Hector Goby is out in the open.

Looks like perfect, peaceful Harmony, which is sometimes hard to achieve.

Got official Family names for the Yellow Tang and Copperband Butterfly.

(SUNSHINE....since he does light up the Tank with Bright Yellow Color)
and ( Candy Stripe...CANDY for Short)

The are inseparable for now.....(which is cute)
And the Tang still doesn't like me (hides when I walk into room).....Thus the lousy photo.

I'm bored after all that QT work.

RIDDLE: What's worse than Having a Mystery Leak/Flood Just before Departing on Vacation

ANSWER: Nothing!!!!

Well it's all Good News now.

Yesterday I noticed quite a bit of water under my Sump/Next to my Tank.
I discovered that my ATO hose moved out of position after Sump Rebuild, so Top Up water went onto Floor not into Sump..
HOWEVER I toweled it Dry, and it came back today.
Toweled Dry again. Came back again.

Started worrying that it may be the small leak in plumbing from Upstairs coming into basement thru wall somewhere.
I couldn't figure it out since the Subfloor is partially Wall to Wall and hides 2 Outer side walls of Sump Room.

Didn't have the luxury of time to observe if it would eventually dry up (since going away).

So I had to removed the DriCore Subfloor to find out.

2019-08-04_SumpRoomFlood.jpg

Found out that since I really Sealed the Sump room (Wall-to-Wall) the previous ATO leak just went under the Subfloor and was just seeping out (Each time I dried up the Exposed floor area).

No Leaks found!!

The room was built properly since all water was contained.
And leaving the Sump Area Concrete Floor exposed was also a good idea (Let me know about the ATO problem).

At least now I can go on vacation without any Worries.

Phew! Have a great trip!
Thanks.
Not going away till Tuesday (and just an 90 minutes away for a few days), but what if it was a real leak.

Tomorrow is Sunday and it would have been last chance to get fix material (Early Closing day)
Monday is Long Weekend Here...... so H-Depot closed (I think).
Couldn't take a chance to wait and wonder.

Hoping floor dries up 100% tomorrow, and no new water shows up.
Confidence is high.

Going to bed now (and will sleep much more peacefully).

But what scared me and made me react right away was (I TOOK A SAMPLE of the Floor Flood Water) and tested Salinity.
If if was Zero, I would have thought RO from ATO. (No worries)

But it came back with Salinity around 1.015, and that scared me.
That area gets lots of SALT CREEP Plops, and previous Salt Spills that Dried up. So salt mixed into the Fresh Water ATO Spill.

If all goes well as I expect, it will be good news for @tenurepro
I watched his Tank for a Month (While he was away), and he get's be on standby for my Tanks next week.

No leaks. Just checked.
The whole floor area is drying up nicely.
It was the ATO hose. A actually had hose out of sump pouring on floor two nights ago (till the cut off triggered)
The subfloor pooling was what I couldn't see.
All Good. You don't have to bring your rubber shoes when you visit.

SPS FRAG CHECKUP ( Peeked into TANK)

I actually haven't looked at my Frag Close up for Weeks. (SCARED)

Today I did, and got a quick Photo of each Frag (to compare in Future).

NO ROCKET (Growth) Happening,

No Spectacular (Colors).....Yet, there are some (Definitive Contrasts) going on.

No Deaths ( I'll Take that ), even some healing going on (from Past Damage)

(PE) is EVERYWHERE!!

Got to be patient. NO CHANGES....When nothing is wrong.

Wow you've been busy!

I wondered why I haven't gotten any updates to your thread, should have known the forum just hates alerting us~
Yup, alerts come and go. Still haven't figured out exactly how to keep them enabled.
I actually contacted @mdbannister just a couple of days ago.
He suggested I check my profile, and nothing was unusual.
I tried something. Turning off all PUSHES, and only leaving alerts.

Maybe @mdbannister can compare both our profile or ask web administrators why we don't get Alerts.

So @Rakie. THIS IS A TEST. (DID YOU GET AN ALERT and/or email, AFTER THIS POST..... after you posted on my thread to join back in?)

Yes, because you tagged me! If you tag someone the alerts seem to work no problem haha

PROMISING SIGN ( Forest Fire Digi ) Remnant Coming Back!!

A couple months ago, the Forest Fire died, so I CUT IT OFF the Rock.

Appears there was some residue left on the Rock and it's actually coming back strong.

2019-08-05_ForestFire.jpg

This Single Recovery is a Very Positive sign that things are doing well.

The "WATER CHANGER" is starting to show it's Value. (More Stable Trace Elements)

The "Tank Maintenance Minder" Feature is (Keeping me my on top of routines) Like Changing GFO on time...Sparse on Aminos, etc
.....and Hands off from any Changes....Which I usually do when see improvements, to improve more)
