In October my family had a house fire. While it was a major loss, my family is safe and we are well on the road to rebuild. I'd say about 90% of our property was total loss which included my 180 reef tank.

This picture was taken after most of the corals were removed, unfortunately we could not get the fish out in time. It doesn't look too bad in this photo but the water was as brown as tea when we pulled them out. Most of the corals were moved to a 25 gal lagoon tank in my office that had just been started.

That tank was set up for for a little while and was starting to grow in. Unfortunately it never got a chance to reach its full potential.

As much as I loved the big tank, I've decided to downsize. I was planning to order a Waterbox 100.3 with a white stand once the house was rebuilt. Well.... I came across a used 100.3 for sale at a price I couldn't pass up.

It's gonna be painful looking at it in storage for months, but it will give me time to do unique things I wouldn't have otherwise taken the time to complete. I am looking forward to making a better looking control board. I am also planning on vinyl wrapping the stand, since the black will not match very well with the decor of the room it will be in. I also plan to use the ATO reservoir of the Waterbox sump to be a refugium.

Since I have the patience of a three year old the following equipment is on order:

EcoTech Radion XR15 x 2
AI Nero 5 wave makers x2
Reef Octopus Varios 6 return pump
Apexel controller
Kessel H80 Fuge Light
Trigger 10 Gallon ATO reservoir
Vertex Omega 150 Skimmer
80 LBS of Marco Rock

The ocean is open to all, merciful to none.

That's the way to bounce back after major adversity! Happy that everyone is safe. "Things" are replaceable. Good luck and keep us all posted.

Started applying the vinyl to the stand tonight. Got the front panels finished. I was pretty surprised how easy the wrap was to apply. I was able to get them both done on the first shot. It's being stored in the basement with poor lighting. The picture with the flash shows the color well, and the one without the flash you can tell how glossy the finish is.
