Starting off a new build for a second tank in my office. You can see my previous 75 gallon build. Since I'm starting this one from scratch I want to better keep track of all of the highs and lows for my own memory so here we go.
Goals
The general idea for this tank is to be low-ish tech (no sump) zoa tank. I'd
Hardware
Seapora low iron 12 gallon tank (24" x 12" x 10")
Fluval 207 filter
Hygger in-line 200w heater
AI Prime HD
Jebao DMP-10 (I'm still going back and for on this one, the Fluval might be enough flow for zoas?)
Fish
2 black ice/picasso or similar clownfish
Some kind of goby
Aquascape
I've got a couple different thoughts for a potential aquascape that I'd love to get feedback on. The first is a take on an Iwagumi style of scape where you have 3-ish large rocks in a specific placement. It obviously wouldn't be a true Iwagumi tank since I'm not planning on having plants but the idea would be to have three large rocks that with different zoas on each.
The next idea is to have a pile of rocks on the right hand side, at the top poking out of the water (with an airplant or something on top), near the fluval intake/outtake and then flow into more of a shelf with zoas alongside it.
What are people's thoughts?
Stay tuned for more!
