160G mixed reef tank

Things seem to be running stable now, Diatoms are still being a pain and trying some gfo to see if it helps..

Absolutely beautiful reef!!

Newest addition.

Spent 2 weeks in observational QT where he was dewormed and fattened up. Then added to the maintank.

You can see some battle scars of the fins and tails from the purple tang charging at him now and then, but the mirror trick really helped. The purple tang was more interested in its reflection so the powder brown didn't get full aggression.

Fish did break out in ich the first day, but ich isn't something I'm scared of as the tank has ich. Feeding locally made planktonyx foods always keeps the fish healthy so ich is not a worry.

Last week I've been busy sorting out the cupboard / cladding whatever they call it.

How I lived and got away with this mess for 7 months without being stabbed by the wife is unbelievable.

I'm not proud of this picture, but also not hiding than sugar coating anything..

I wanted to leave an open sump area without doors, so having the inside neat is key hence the the pvc piping made to look copper.

There's still lots to do, but I'm happy with progress so far..
