Picked up two new girls today. They're "Zebra" swallowtails (genicanthus), both female. I was happy to pick up a larger and smaller pair so that the larger one eventually becomes a make!

Pic heavy update today!

Speckled Krakatoa's looking great! I started with 1 polyp less than a month ago, already have 2 babies (smallest one is behind the mother).

After the issues with Monti Eating Nudi's, they are now encrusting and growing well!

Bounce Mushrooms (OG, Biohazard, Sunkist, Mr. Blue) are all doing great! Their bubbles keep getting bigger, and I believe the Biohazard has already grown additional bubbles

I'm picking up some new acropora from a local reefer this weekend (Walt Disney, TCK Pikachu, RR Vinh). The WD frag is HUGE!

Update 2/18/2018 - The Aquascape!

I've finally got up in my video journal of this build with the aquascape! I'm super excited to share this as i show off what the tank looks like today (about 1 month after I did the actual aquascape).

I'm going through a bacteria bloom at the moment, but so far doing absolutely nothing is solving the problem. The tl;dr is that by just waiting it out, the bloom is going away. I'm still tempting to buy a UV sterilizer, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Will have to do some research.

Lol when I first encountered a bacterial bloom, i was awake late up night and decided to take a look at my tank... I thought I had something in my eye!
The water was almost milky in color...
The next day it was better and in the following day the water was crystal clear...

As for the bacterial bloom, I totally get it. It's something that looks alarming, but it's really no big deal unless you have 02 issues.

Mostly cosmetic honestly. New wheels, lug nuts (the red ones to match the calipers). I do my own detailing (clay, seal, wax, etc), which reminds me... I am due for another clean+wax. It's insanely hot here in Texas, so I may just wait a bit longer....

I do plan on tuning it however. Exhaust is factory performance option, so by default it already sounds great. I'm looking at wrapping the hood in matte black and blacking out the lights eventually.

The blue/purple one? It was -- and currently still is -- the only coral I've had die on me. Even on the sand bed and my lights at 30%, it was expelling zooxanthellae because of too much light. It took 1-2 months, but eventually died.

That's sad... Frogspawns are sensitive to light?? I have never known that... My friend has a nice frogspawn bush and his 3 radion led lights are full blast at 100% and the frogspawn (as well as other euphyilias) are as happy as they can be...

Finally moved all 10 acro frags from the frag rack to the rock. I'm a bit concerned I've got somewhat... overboard as I'm limited in space. It just means I'll have to be vigilant on fragging when the time comes.

That said, I woke up this morning to my Emerald crab picking at some algae around the base of the TCK Pikachu. Stop it! That guy is already stress !
