I don't know. I'm about to go and see if I can get some better pictures to get a closer look. What I'm seeing is it has possibly spread the the spine behind it. Cross fingers for me!

He should have never gone through the stress of shipping with such an injury. It's hard to say if he'll make it in light of this. If they had not of sent him out, he would have had a better chance..... much much better.

I think I feel safe in saying them being bought and sold a couple of times has made a difference in their quality. It takes a lot for me to say that, because I've been a big DD Fanboy for years.

If there is anyone that can save that beautiful creature, it's you Renee. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

He's still alive. No word from the seller yet. That's one thing that has also changed, their response time.

I have him converted to frozen, so this increases the odds of survival exponentially.

It's looking rough, I'm afraid.

Radiatas can be a little hard to train sometimes, but he must have heard me begging.

Here's hoping he starts to get better soon:) hopefully he will heal just as quickly and easily as he took to frozen;)

I'm about to do a large water change before I introduce the new guy and I find my tank temp at 82 when it's normally 78.... Pump trouble shooting wasn't in my plans today.

There isn't a heater stuck on is there? How's the little guy doing?

There's no heater. The only thing powered is a pump. I just checked the 50 gallons of new salt water and it's at 66..... this is going to be a long day. LOL!

The patient is doing great. Eats like a horse and his new spine is about 1-1/2" and growing. I'm really nervous about them fighting, however.
