500-600g build ideas

So, I have a few questions for you large tank owners. I want a 500-600g aquarium. The length of said tank would be roughly around LxWxH (144”x30”x30”). It would be custom ordered and I would want a large center overflow with 3 dump lines and 2 return lines.

My question, can you use two pumps to create more flow? An example is if I use 2 COR20 rated at 2000g each will I be getting 4000 if each pump was its own pump running from the same sump.

Yes you can and I highly recommend running 2 return pumps. I run 2 on my 240 and plan on running 2 on my 600 build. If one fails the second one will keep some flow going while you get your replacement ready. I like redundancy for all major life support parts.

So, this project won’t be built ASAP but it’s a future project. Up to 600g aquarium. And the sleek design of products used will change as the years go by. But let’s be honest...aside the tanks in my opinion stands are things that compliment your tank as well. This stand will be 10x4x4. All in feet measurements. It will hold a 10x4x2 tank on top and a 8x1.5x1 tank below it. It will also boost a sump with just skimmer and return area.

I’ve had a few large tanks (300-500g) over the years... my current tank is absolutely my favorite, mainly because I had it made with a 5’ depth (front to back)!
If you have the room, consider going wider than the 30”, even 48” would be nice.
You’ll really appreciate the difference that it makes.

I plan on making it 4f wide. I love depth as well.
