Hopefully diet and orp increase will do them well

If it is ich and you decide to try and "manage" it, you will need to use some other techniques as well. I discuss that here:

New bulb?
maybe... ill look when i got it.

Sitting here thinking about having to get all of the fish out of the tank, and then also try to keep them from killing eachother while keeping them mildly poisoned in a 90g or something.

For 75+ days

actually seams impossible

Jay,
First thanks for the time. Appreciate it.

I've been reading some of your responses on other threads about the in tank treatments from Ruby Reef. I dont see you endorsing them highly, but I am considering it as an option. I see others highly endorsing them. Man its really hard to make heads or tails. What are your concerns specifically with these treatments (other than mine where it seems too good to be true)

I've re upped my uv bulb due tomorrow and am re establishing excellent water quality and adding to diet.

Im really not set up to pull 20+ fish and house them in a separate tank for 75 days.

I’m just not a fan of using rally pro against ich, it is such a mild medication. It does have use in slowing down cases of brooklynella.

So. Paul B , mentioning management. Reading he uses a diatom filter . (1micron) To limit parasites.

I'm wondering how strong of swimmers ich would be.

Do they end up in the sump to get filtered out (they are 30-50 microns) my socks are 5 micron.

My intake for uv is in the last chamber of my sump. So if they don't make it down it won't help.

I believe the oxydator i have that's way oversized will help. Somewhat.

The trouble with Cryptocaryon theronts/tomites is that they are released from the resting stage tomonts in the early morning. They can attach to fish sleeping on the bottom of the tank without ever going through a UV or diatom filter. Both of those devices are best suited for removing parasites from water going from one tank to another in a system, not as a sidestream on a single tank.

And I haven't seen another one of these ugly freaks of nature again yet.
