Hello,

I have two AI Hydra's with the AI Director which just went through a month on coral acclimation setting. 40% Setting at 25% reduction during the month.

Currently all my corals, SPS and LPS, are happy as can be. I would like to ramp up a few settings to get more color and brightness but wanted your input first.

Here is my current schedule:

Royal Blue: 7AM increases slowly till 1PM which hits 40% max. Decreases to 33% at 5:50, then declines to 10:30 OFF

All colors resemble similar settings as the royal blue. Of course the whites and brighter lights shut off before 10:00pm to allow the blue's to bring the lights to off.

Thx!

I just run all mine at 100% for 9 hours.

Most would get them to above 60%. Your corals should do fine if you've acclimated them.

I wouldn't necessarily do that. Not without know the rest of the parameters.I would be afraid of bleaching the corals. What size tank? what type of corals? I wouldn't even think of running mine at 100%. I have a mixed reef standard 125 gallon. My Hydra lights come on at 9:30. 4 hour ramp up 4 hour ramp down at 6. I am considering shortening the time between 1:30 to 6.

Another good parameter to consider. I keep mine about 12 Inches above the surface.

I have my hydra 52 about 10" off water on 30 gal. nano corals love it. Had a controller on system its was ok switched to director now I have questions on light spectrum. I know what I like to see in tank, but what do the corals need.
