This maybe a stupid question,but does it actully make the thunder noises?If so,I find this a absolute waste of money!

lol, no. I added that using iMovie.

Honestly, I don't see ANY benefit to the thunderstorm feature and I don't even have it turned on. Once in a while I'll show some friends but that's about it...

Ah!Cool....

I think its a marketing thing,I could stand over my tank with a LED light,yelling "POWWW" and turning on the flashlight for a couple seconds...same effect,just a lil bit more disturbing...thats all...

Huh. The fish didn't even flinch. Without the sound effects, it probably just looks like the lights are shorting out. Nice video, though!

I agree that it's a fairly useless feature, but it's still cool. I think that one reefer has it go into that mode when he adds topoff water.

Hah, that's pretty funny. I tend to leave it off cause it scares the crap outta me when it starts in the middle of the night.

Yep, you can set the % chance of thunderstorm each day and the number of thunderstorms you want in that day. It's pretty neat, maybe there really is some point to it since they've allowed this amount of control?

I love watching ours have thunderstorms at night. I find it relaxing for me which makes it good for the tank. lol

Pretty cool. I really like the ones that can do cloud cover, and simulate clouds moving across the tank. Can this one do that?

The AI looks nice but this is really a bs feature. Really what really is the purpose? Is it going to make your corals grow faster?

Not that I'm aware of, only has the thunderstorm in the menu. Maybe in a future update!

Well, the point is being able to brag your lights can simulate a thunderstorm. That's the only reason I can think of. Trust me, it wasn't one of the features I was looking for in a light and as I said in an earlier post I don't even run them.
