Yea...just trying to maximize space for them to grow while making it easy to remove and move them. For example, should I fill it up with rock for them to grow on or just let them fill up the glass? Maybe some random PVC pieces to grow on, etc.Find a piece of rock with Aiptasia, put in tank :) Proceed as normal.
In all seriousness, I feel like if you get them in a tank just treat it as a normal saltwater tank, they'll grow and reproduce.
I'd fill it up with lots of small rubble then, creates lots of crevices for them to dig into and stay, as well as moveable surface area.Yea...just trying to maximize space for them to grow while making it easy to remove and move them. Maybe they are trying to grow Nudis!I think I read a thread here where someone did this, and then a year later was asking how to humanely get rid of them.
Unless you like the look of aiptasia I would not do this.

Who’s that guy?Seachem matrix. Just cover the bottom of the tank with it. Then you can easily pull them out and clip them off to ship out. Or 100% bare bottom and scrape them off with a razor blade.
There is a guy in Washington state growing them and nudis. He’s got probably 3-400 gallons of nudis and their food lol
Ron Boyer. Owns Inland Corals in Spokane.Who’s that guy?

Why would you want to grow more Aiptasia? They are a major pest. The only way I found to get rid of them was to get peppermint shrimp which love to eat Aiptasia. They don't take any special care - those things start growing everywhere and can sting other corals or fish.Anyone here growing Aiptasia? Trying to get good ideas on a grow out tank setup. Size, filtration, substrate, etc.
