my tank is 6 months old and I’m still going thru the ugly stages with algae and such. I mainly have string and hair algae on rocks and some in sand bed. Recently I’ve struggled with lower nutrients nitrates around 1 or under and phosphate around .02-.05. Trying to bring them up closing to 1o and phos .07-.1. With these lower nutrients has that contributed to my algae growth as their outcompeting my corals? Will raising my nutrients not only help corals but possibly decrease algae. I don’t feed super heavy although have recently to raise nitrates. I have 2 tangs which graze pretty well but can’t get all of it and sometimes picky. What’s other alternatives? Adding a fuge? Thanks all
