Hello all, I'm new to the forum and to reef. I did grow up with a reef tank but so much has changed since them. I have been an active gem and mineral collector for years and have always found a similar beauty in coral reefs.

I have been browsing several forums over the past several months and have learned so much from the peope here at R2R. Thanks to @Broadfield, I have ordered a Reefer 450 with all the goodies and should have it in the next couple of days. So as the "unofficial" Red Sea Reefer consultant you can say you've sold them another tank. I'm also stealing quite a bit of your build tips and incorporating them in my build, so I hope you don't mind.

Thanks again for all the knowledge I have allready gathered here. I can't wait to get started!

I got the tank set in place today, I had to do fill some holes and do some touch up paint to the wall first though. I wasn't brave enough to drill a hole in the living room floor to run plumbing to the holding tanks in my basement, so I cut a hole in my wall small enough to put a blank electrical plate in its place. I managed to get a 1/2" pex through the joist and into the basement. Still have a ton to do...
