For those of you who have sharks and invertebrates, what inverts do you keep successfully? I'm having a rough fight with algae and the only CUC I have are tangs. Unfortunately my sleeper banded goby and watchman goby were made a meal of.

I didn't witness it but yesSo the sharks ate the gobies?
Well, I have five (5) black sea cucumbers in my tank for turning over the sand. I'm not sure if they come outfitted with 'shark repellent', but none of the fish have ever given them a second look. I assume you have rock in the tank - so urchins might be a possibility?I didn't witness it but yes
I thought about urchins, but I'm afraid that the sharks would injure themselves on the spines.Well, I have five (5) black sea cucumbers in my tank for turning over the sand. The black ones are relatively harmless - unless the sharks eat them, of course...Also, I'm deathly afraid of Sea Cucumbers since one crashed my buddy's 5 year old reef.
What size is your shark?i have hermit crabs, he doesn´t care for, neither for the lawnmower blenny.
Yeah there's no way my sharks don't eat them. They prowl over every inch of the tank at night.Your best bet are going to be CUC so small they dont look to be worth it as food. Any small fish will be on the menu unfortunately so im sorry for your loss. Blue leg hermits are great choices, along with cerith snails as they stay small. Emerald crabs may be worth it as they stay confined to crevices in rocks. The emeralds will eventually become food but they are great at algae consumption.
16" boutHow large are your coral cat sharks?
I'll try a couple, but you don't know my sharks lolBlue leg hermits are gonna be the go to. You can buy them super small, like smaller than a fingernail, a coral cat that size wont pay them any attention.
I was looking at a Blue Spiny Lobster, but then I'd have to dose calcium and I'm not sure that it wouldn't bother my sharks since they are relatively inactive with the lights on.Blue leg hermits are gonna be the go to.
